The January antidote to reality

It’s January.  A perfect month to energize your dreams.

I started my Monday morning by finding this email in my inbox.  It’s from a gentleman who completed Causative Communication seven months ago:

“I had the most amazing week at work.  It started with getting high praise from a senior executive for a presentation I gave on Monday.  That started this chain reaction amongst other senior executives recognizing me.  Made a huge impact with many people I don’t talk with much. I cannot describe in words how much the new communication skills have helped me connect better with my co-workers.  I’ve noticed individuals gravitate towards me more.   I never realized the impact I made until I saw the nonstop show of respect and genuine care.”

Seven months ago, this man’s life was very different. Mostly because his relationships were very different.

What I admire about him is that he didn’t let reality stand in the way of his dreams.

He imagined everything his life could be if it were magical. He imagined relationships that were exceptional and extraordinary.  And then he decided to make it happen.

This is THE underlying principle that makes Causative Communication so powerful.

Causative communication is about being able to make whatever outcome you want happen. The communication component is extremely important because communication is your singular chance for making anything happen in a world filled with people.

In looking at the outcome you want, don’t let reality poison your dreams. Let your imagination fly free, independent of what the world tells you is possible.

Your dreams are what matter.  Your dreams will energize your communication.  Keep them big.  Keep them bold. Keep them clear.

And then use all of your communication skills to create tremendous understandings and deep personal connections.  Shape reality with your words. Live your dreams. And make the world a better place.

Yes, January is a very good time for this.

Be the cause!
